This page is for physicians, not patients. Doctors who want to learn hair transplantation in a working clinic often write to ask where and how they can train. Dr. Bayer Clinics in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, where Dr. Noyan Süalp performs hair transplants, runs a training programme for this purpose. In 2025 the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye authorised the clinic as a certified training centre.
Below you will find who the programme is for, what it covers, what you receive at the end and how to apply.
In short
- Dr. Bayer Clinics was authorised by the Turkish Ministry of Health in 2025 as a certified training centre. It runs training programmes in hair transplantation and in medical aesthetics.
- The programmes are designed for physicians and take place in the clinic in Istanbul.
- They combine theory, practical work and advanced techniques.
- Participants who complete the programme successfully receive an official certificate.
- Dates, duration, language and fees are confirmed by the clinic when you apply.
Who the programme is for
The certified programme is designed for physicians: doctors with a medical degree who want to add hair transplantation to their practice or build on the experience they already have. In Türkiye hair transplantation is a medical procedure, and the physician is responsible for the assessment, the plan and the procedure itself.
Nurses, assistants and technicians are an important part of every hair transplant team. What they may do during a procedure depends on the law of each country. If you are not a physician, ask the clinic whether a programme is suitable for your role before you apply.
What the training covers
A hair transplant is more than graft extraction. Good results come from correct patient selection, a careful plan for the donor area and a natural hairline. The table shows the main topics that hair transplant training is built around. The exact syllabus for each group is shared by the clinic before enrolment.
| Topic | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Patient assessment | Classifying hair loss, judging whether a transplant is suitable, examining the donor area, setting realistic expectations |
| Planning and hairline design | Estimating graft needs, protecting the donor area for the future, drawing a hairline that suits age and face |
| Graft extraction | FUE technique, punch selection, keeping grafts intact |
| Graft handling | Sorting, storage and keeping grafts outside the body for as short a time as possible |
| Implantation | Opening recipient channels, angle and direction, implantation with the DHI implanter pen |
| Safety | Local anaesthesia, sterile technique, recognising and managing complications |
| Aftercare and follow-up | Washing, the healing timeline, shock loss, when to see the patient again |
| Communication | Consultation, informed consent, explaining what a transplant can and cannot do |
How the training works
The training takes place inside the clinic, alongside the team that treats patients every day. It has three parts:
- Theory: hair biology, causes of hair loss, patient selection, planning and the techniques used today.
- Practical work: held in the clinic, under the supervision of the clinic’s physicians.
- Advanced techniques: for example hairline design and implantation with the DHI pen.
The balance between these parts, the size of the group and the number of days are set for each programme. Ask about them when you apply, so that you know exactly what to expect.
Learning in a working clinic
Dr. Noyan Süalp studied medicine in English at the Ovidius University Faculty of Medicine in Romania. He then trained in hair transplantation at Dr. Bayer Clinics, working alongside Dr. Yetkin Bayer, and he performs hair transplants at the clinic today. Hand skills come with practice, but it is the decisions that protect the patient. Who should have a transplant, how many grafts the donor area can give and where the hairline should sit are learned by seeing many patients and many plans.
This is the main reason to train in a clinic that treats patients every week. You see the whole process, from the first consultation and the photos sent from abroad to the procedure day and the follow-up.
The certificate
Participants who complete the programme successfully receive an official certificate. The programme is approved by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
A certificate shows the training you have completed. It does not replace the medical licence you need to practise. Before you apply, check the rules for hair transplantation in the country where you plan to work.
